From Tokens to Watt-hours: Analytical Energy Estimation for LLM Inference on Modern GPUs

However, direct measurement of inference energy often requires hardware telemetry, power instrumentation, or infrastructure-specific monitoring, limiting its applicability in comparative studies, early-stage system design, and sustainability reporting.
