Salient Knowledge Pathways: Sparse Cross-Modal Routing for Efficient Knowledge-Intensive Multimodal Question Answering

Existing systems pay all three costs uniformly per query, even though only a small fraction of visual content and retrieved knowledge is actually relevant to any given question.
