Breaking the Block: Preserving Data Continuity to Train Superior SAEs for Instruct Models

Using GSNR analysis, we theoretically characterize this issue and propose Finetuning-aligned Sequential Training (FAST), a sequential training paradigm specifically designed for instruct models.
