Kronecker Factorization Improves Efficiency and Interpretability of Sparse Autoencoders

We propose KronSAE, a design that factorizes the latent space into heads and forms post-latent features as pairwise compositions of lower-dimensional pre-latents using mAND, a differentiable AND-like interaction.
